Why science and engineering toys aren't for girls

Summary & Opinion

Isn't a good example of post feminism as it doesn't support but goes against Mc Robbie theory but does imitate Butlers ideas of gender roles are ‘a performance’ and they are socially constructed as shops such as Morrison are telling parents to buy more toys like kitchens, or prams for girls so they can replicate a young housewife as a young child by parents had persuade me and my sister to want to play with Barbie dolls in which turn me to playing with more boy like toys and even dressing up as a boy. They had made my brothers play with toys such as cars and sport related toys which makes them interested in competition.

  1. WWW: Your second response is stronger as you start to explain why and also give a personal example.
EBI/LR: You need to produce more depth to your analysis - for the first paragraph you re-tell the article but don't analyse it. Why do you think front pages are dominated by men?
