Average teenager has never met
quarter of Facebook friends
Summary: The
article is about 12-15 year olds never talking or meeting their friends on
social networking sites; and girls are worse then boys due to having more
internet access… teenagers also spend at least 17 hours per week on the
internet through many devices such as computer, phones and tablets. As there has been an 50% rise in Smartphone ownership
among teenagers which means parents are having a hard time keeping up and
understand how they can protect their children.
Opinion: I think that social networking sites such as
Facebook should allow parents of teenagers to check their Facebook at least 2-3
weeks, and it should be a law. Even though
parents should have their children on their own Facebook to monitor their
profile pages.
